Atmospheric conditions are still favorable for afternoon showers with lightning activities.
Thundershowers will be fairly widespread over the island during the afternoon and night.
Heavy falls (more than 100mm) are also likely at some places in the Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-western and Southern provinces.
Showers will occur in the Eastern coastal areas during the morning too.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize the damages caused by lightning activities.
